Munich Beer Halls and Baroque Old Town Self Guided Tour
About
Step through an ancient city gate where a thousand peasants were massacred, peer inside Munich's most outrageously opulent church (built as a marketing stunt), and raise a glass at the beer hall that once bribed an invading army with beer to save the city.
This self-guided audio walking tour takes you through Munich's historic old town — from Sendlinger Tor to the Residenz Palace — covering 14 stops packed with legends, quirky Bavarian traditions, and stories you won't find in a guidebook. Hear about the Devil's Footprint at the Frauenkirche, discover why locals wash their wallets in a fountain, and learn the origins of Oktoberfest at the famous Hofbräuhaus.
