What to expect
Begin your experience with a traditional Moroccan tea workshop. With guidance from a local expert, learn how authentic mint tea is prepared, poured, and served according to Moroccan customs. Continue with a hands-on ceramic painting activity. Choose your colors and decorate your own ceramic piece using patterns and designs inspired by Moroccan craftsmanship. Your finished ceramic creation is yours to take home. Next, discover Moroccan jewelry making and create your own piece inspired by Berber motifs and contemporary Moroccan style. Learn about the cultural meaning behind the designs while assembling a unique souvenir to keep. Complete the workshop with an introduction to Moroccan carpet weaving. Discover the tools, materials, traditional symbols, and techniques used by artisans to produce Morocco’s handwoven rugs. At the end of the experience, take home your painted ceramic piece, your handmade jewelry, and a participation certificate.
