You’ll retreat to a scenic vineyard on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, home to the celebrated wine Lacryma Christi—literally, the “Tear of Christ.” Surrounded by rows of vines rooted in volcanic soil, you’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch paired with a guided wine tasting, learning how the unique terrain and centuries-old traditions shape each bottle. As you sip and dine, take in the striking views of Mount Vesuvius rising above the vineyard—a sight as powerful today as it was for the ancient inhabitants of Pompeii and Herculaneum. This is a moment of calm and connection after history-filled exploration: great wine, authentic local food, and the chance to gaze upon Vesuvio, the sacred mountain of wine, just as people did thousands of years ago. 2 hrs
